The 74V1T125CTR is a non-inverting 3-state buffer. It has four logicinputs and one logic output. The inputs on the buffer are A0, A1, A2 andA3. The output from the buffer is the ‘Z’ output. The ‘OE’ input is usedto control the output of the buffer. When the ‘OE’ input is HIGH, theoutput will be in the high impedance state, and when ‘OE’ is LOW, thebuffer will output the logic level on the inputs. The logic inputs on the buffer determine the logic level on the ‘Z’ output. If all inputs are LOW,the ‘Z’ output will be LOW. If all inputs are HIGH, the ‘Z’ output willbe HIGH. If one of the inputs is HIGH and the others are LOW, then theoutput will be HIGH as well.The main purpose of the 74V1T125CTR buffer is level-shifting andlevel-translation. Level shifting is the process of converting a logiclevel from one voltage to another. Level translation is the process ofconverting a logic level from one logic family to another.
