The 861-83-035-10-001101 is a rectangular connector, specifically a socket header from the 860 family, which is designed to mate a surface mount card with a 3.5mm pitch, standardized on a 2mm height. It features a top-entry (“reverse”) style which is ideal for quick connect/disconnect conditions, with gold-plated contacts for optimal signal integrity. The standard 8.5 mm centerline distance between rows allows for easy remote mounting of the board and component.

Application Field

The 861-83-035-10-001101 socket header is designed for use in many industries. Working Principle

This socket header consists of eight-position row of alternating male and female contacts. The standard 2.54mm (0.1") pitch allows for a snug fit and excellent signal quality. The contacts are gold plated for superior conductivity and easy insertion. The solder tails feature solder-cup-style tails for improved solder retention to the board. The header is designed to mate with the OS173 connector system, which requires a 1mm gap for full engagement.

The 861-83-035-10-001101 features a top-entry (“reverse”) style design, which allows the contacts to be held in place using friction, rather than welding. This ensures a tight fit and reliable contact without any force required. There is also a high degree of shock and vibration resistance as the connection is secure and durable against movement.
