The 86130502324355E1LF rectangular connector is a 7-way vertical male header designed for high-density board-to-board plugging applications. It features two shrouded pin rows with five 0.025” sq. 11 plated contacts in each row. The shrouded configuration ensures stable mating, while the plated contacts protect against environmental conditions such as shock, vibration, dust, and water.
The rectangular connector is housed in an insulated body made from UL 94V-0 polyester material with a tin-plated brass or stainless steel mounting surface. It is available with different colors and a pre-installation latch-lock to ensure secure mating. The connector offers 1800 Vrms dielectric strength (between rows) and 1000 Vrms dielectric strength (between pins).
The 86130502324355E1LF connector’s versatile yet compact design makes it suitable for a variety of applications. It can be used in industrial, automotive, telecommunications, audio/visual, consumer electronics, medical, and military sectors, among others. Also, the header provides excellent EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and protection against contact overcurrents.
Working Principle
The 86130502324355E1LF connector’s working principle is fairly simple. The connector includes two rows of pins with the same pitch and the corresponding mating sockets. The header’s male pins are designed to fit into the mating socket and make an electrical connection with the holes of the corresponding socket. The electrical connection is made with the female socket contact pads that are soldered onto the board. This connection is maintained until the connector is removed from the socket.
The rectangular connector is also connected to the board through two mounting points on either side. This allows the connector to be secured with a single screw and move from side-to-side if necessary. The header also features a latch-lock mechanism to ensure secure mating and further reduce the possibility of contact overcurrents.
The 86130502324355E1LF connector is designed to provide better signal integrity and improved EMI/RFI protection. The heat-sealing thermoplastic insulation helps to protect the connector from overvoltage and short-circuits. Additionally, the dual-row configuration helps to reduce EMI/RFI interference.
