Working Principle of 8N3Q001EG-0118CDI8 Programmable Oscillator

8N3Q001EG-0118CDI8 is based on a temperature-compensated voltage-controlled oscillator (TCV-XO), where the frequency is controlled by an external DC voltage level. It features a wide frequency range of 3.000 KHz to 125.Value MHz, programmability from 10 Hz to 125 MHz and low phase jitter. The Phase detector compares the phase of the reference clock pulse with the feedback clock pulse and then the signal is applied to the Digital Integrator-Filter circuit to generate the voltage control signal. The VCO is based on an inductor-capacitor tuned LC tank circuit. The classic LC-VCO is configured to operate at an optimal power and frequency matching across several operating temperature ranges.
