Working Principle

A 901-9602-12SF connector is an interface of two electromagnetic components, consisting of an inner conductor which connects to the centre of the outer conductor. The connector is designed for low frequency applications and the outer circumference of the outer conductor of the 901-9602-12SF is ribbed which serves as the outer conductor when in contact with another connector.

The inner conductor ensures a tight mechanical connection to the centre contact, while the outer conductor ensures a good connection between the inner conductor and the outer conductor which keeps the connection. It is designed to reduce the reflection caused by mechanical mismatch between the connectors and prevents damages such as high signals loss.

In order to achieve a successful connection, the Centre Contact requires an optimised contact pressure. The Spring Finger of the 901-9602-12SF ensures an optimal contact pressure when connecting to other connectors while having a certain level of flexibility. The whole connection should be sealed with Plastic Grommet which prevents water or dust entering the connector.
