The 964-BR2-CAO is a family of panel indicators and pilot lights used in a wide range of electrical and mechanical applications, including automotive, aerospace, and industrial grade control systems. They are typically used in tandem with other electrical or mechanical components to help support a variety of diagnostic, monitoring, or command/control functions.

Application Field

The 964-BR2-CAO family of panel indicators can be used in many different settings. The most common applications include automotive vehicles, control systems, aircraft, ships, and industrial control systems, among others. They are also used in a wide range of safety, monitoring, and/or diagnostic applications, including instrument panels, evacuation systems, power systems, engine performance monitoring, and (automotive) chassis control systems, to name a few.

Working Principle

The 964-BR2-CAO utilizes LEDs, photo-detectors, and other components to work as a complex lighting system. The light system consists of a variety of colored light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and photo-detectors. LEDs come in three different colors: red, green, and blue. These are connected in series and activated by the voltage applied to them. Depending on the type of unit, the LEDs may be arranged in an array or single bulb connected to a circuit board.

The 964-BR2-CAO also utilizes photo-detectors to detect when an LED is lit, and to make sure that the desired LED color is detected. For example, the unit may detect when white light from a nearby light source is directed onto the LEDs. The photo-detector then sends a signal to the control system to switch off the LEDs. This ensures that the display panel indicator or pilot light is only active when the current source of light is not present.

In addition to the various components, the 964-BR2-CAO also includes a variety of features such as a rear view camera, temperature/humidity sensor, audible alarm, and an adjustable angle of viewing. The adjustable angle of view ensures that the display panel can be customised depending on the angle of viewing of the viewer. This feature is especially helpful when the viewer is situated in a particularly awkward angle, such as when they are in a vehicle, or at an unusually high or low angle.
