Working Principle

98414-G10-44ULF is a two-piece polarized header system that uses a spring-based mechanism to maximize contact, reduce wear, and enhance electrical continuity. The contacts are available in 1-3 rows, with 2.54mm pitch spacing and 6-24 positions. The contact is held in the plastic housing by a spring which enables it to self-align with the mating connector. This helps to reduce wear and tear and increases overall reliability. When assembled, the female side of the connector protrudes through the mating body, creating a sealed mechanical connection with the connected device designed to enhance durability and prevent corrosion. When an electrical connection is made, the spring within the connector holds the contact in the proper position and presses the metal contact against the mating part of the connector.
