Introduction
A8500EECTR-T, PMIC LED drivers, is a family of LED drivers designed to provide accurate current regulation for LED strings up to 35 V. The device features high-accuracy fixed-current regulation, programmable current-setting, power factor correction, and thermal Protection. The device also includes a synchronous rectifier to reduce switching losses, a shot-circuit protection, an open-LED detection output, and a VDD frequency adjustment feature to reduce ripple and noise.Application fields

At the heart of the A8500EECTR-T is a proprietary control architecture that takes all control functions into account when regulating the current. The architecture has been designed to provide a fast and accurate control strategy. The device is capable of regulating current to the load at various output voltages, depending on the output capacitor and load resistance. The current regulation loop of the A8500EECTR-T is composed of a voltage-controlled current source loop, sense resistor and compensation loop.
