ACPL-332J-000E is a field-isolation-optocouplers. This device contains a GaAlAs LED, a photodiode, and a dedicated CMOS IC, integrating a DC-to-DC converter and an isolation barrier, which is designed to exceed the safety requirements of UL 1577 double-protection. When ACPL-332J-000E is properly used and applied, it can provide up to 1.5KV isolation protection. It offers wide operating temperature range, excellent EMI performance, long-term reliability, and fast switching speeds.

Application Field

Working Principle

ACPL-332J-000E works by using a photodiode, an LED and a CMOS IC to generate an isolated DC-to-DC signal. The LED and the Photodiode form an optical coupler, which transfers optical signals between the two sides. When a signal is received on the first side, the LED is lit up, which in turn activates the photodiode on the other side, creating an electrical current. This electrical current is then used to control the gate driver, which then transmits the signal to the other side. The CMOS IC provides a buffer between the LED and the photodiode, allowing for a higher power transfer between the two sides without increasing cross talk.
