Current transducers are devices which convert an input current signal into a proportional output signal in the form of a voltage. The ACS725LLCTR-20AB-T is a low-cost, integrated Hall effect-based linear current transducer that offers a solution for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, automotive, commercial, and communications systems with high-accuracy current sensing in a small, electrically isolated package. The transducer is designed to sense the current in motor control applications where a maximum of twenty amperes must be monitored accurately. The ACS725LLCTR-20AB-T has a wide range of applications including motor control applications, power monitoring/metering, embedded systems, industrial motor control, systems, telecommunications, automotive applications, data acquisition systems, and HVAC systems.
The ACS725LLCTR-20AB-T utilizes Hall effect technology. It uses a magnetic field generated by the sensed current to sense the amount of current in the system. The ACS725LLCTR-20AB-T has a digital output that provides an amplified linear output. This output provides an integrally isolated, amplified output for the conversion of the sensed current into a voltage signal.
