The AD-FMCADC2-EBZ evaluation board is a solution for the growing demand for Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs). It is a board-level integration with an advanced analog to digital conversion technology suitable for measurement, industrial control, and automotive applications. It is one of the most advanced ADCs in the evaluation board market, as it includes a selectable precision of 14 to 16-bit resolution and conversion speed up to 1MSPS (1Msamples per second).This evaluation board is based on the AD540x family of Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs), which are primarily used to convert an analog signal into a digital data representation within a set range of values. The AD-FMCADC2-EBZ offers up to four analog inputs, two digital outputs, and two multi-range analog outputs. It has a variety of user-selectable signal chains, up to 256 sample sizes, up to 8 selectable power supplies, a 1Msps sample rate, and 32K memory for data transfer.The AD-FMCADC2-EBZ supports a variety of data acquisition functions such as fast averaging, AC/DC coupling, and multi-channel interleaving. It also includes other features such as bidirectional connection capability, single-ended/differential connection support, and selectable over-sampling ratio support.The AD-FMCADC2-EBZ can be used in a variety of applications, from medical instruments to military radar systems. Due to its fast data acquisition rate and high accuracy, it is suitable for applications ranging from instrumentation, automotive, and industrial control to aerospace and defense.An important feature of the AD-FMCADC2-EBZ is the highly precise and accurate ADC which operates in two main modes: the offset error cancellation and programmable gain stage mode. In the offset error cancellation mode, the ADC is programmed to produce specific gain values for each channel which can be adjusted with the frequency and mode selectors. This allows for low and fast errors in the collected data.In the programmable gain stage mode, the user can select the gain for each channel and the amplifier gain can be set to adjust for attenuation or amplification. This mode allows for the adjustment of many application-specific parameters, such as pulse deconvolution and equalization.The AD-FMCADC2-EBZ is an advanced evaluation board for the AD540X family of ADCs. It is highly suitable for applications requiring accurate and reliable data acquisition capabilities. It includes features such as precision of 14 to 16-bit resolution, high-speed data conversion and advanced programmable gain stages and offset cancellation mode.
