Working Principle of AD22293Z-RL7

The AD22293Z-RL7 is based on capacitive sensing technology, where changes in capacitance are used to measure acceleration. The sensor consists of a proof mass which is suspended in air gaps that are formed by a two-axis structure. When subjected to acceleration, the proof mass is displaced from its equilibrium position. This motion results in a change in the capacitance at the air gaps which is then amplified and converted to a voltage signal. The signal can then be used to measure acceleration along the two axes.

The AD22293Z-RL7 can also measure angular acceleration. It does this by using two capacitive elements that are mounted in a cross-axis arrangement. When the sensor experiences a rotation, the proof mass is subjected to a Coriolis force, which causes a change in the capacitance at each element. This change can be detected and converted to an output signal which can measure angular accelerations.
