AD5290YRMZ100-R7 is a precision, digital potentiometer from Analog Devices. It is a quad, 8-bit digital potentiometer device designed for digital systems with a resolution of 256 steps, tolerances and temperature coefficient of 20ppm/C max. This digital potentiometer offers an SPI-compatible, three-wire serial interface for communication with microcontrollers or digital signal processors. Application Field

Working Principle

The digital potentiometer also includes a readback feature that allows the user to read the most recent value programmed using the SPI (or SD) port. This readback feature is not compatible with the two-wire mode of operation. The AD5290YRMZ100-R7 is designed to operate over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 150°C. Its on-chip voltage regulator offers low power operation and high system flexibility in applications where the supply voltage may vary with temperature. The AD5290YRMZ100-R7 has on-chip soft-start protection that prevents the output voltage from exceeding the input voltage at turn-on, ensuring robust system operation in static and dynamic applications.
