Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) are an important component of mixed-signal systems and essential to many applications ranging from audio and video to sensors, power electronics, and RF communication. The AD7226KRS is a multi-channel, high-speed, 16-bit resolution, 8-channel resolution, 4-channel resolution, digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It offers two pairs of 8-bit parallel inputs, a 4-bit serial interface, and programmable output current.
The AD7226KRS has a wide range of applications. It is well suited for industrial, automotive, and medical systems that demand high precision in low-power, sensor-driven systems. The output current is then converted to a voltage using a current-to-voltage conversion circuit, which results in the digital-to-analog converted voltage.
The device is designed to meet strict Linearity specifications, providing a maximum linearity error of 1/2 LSB in 2 volts of input range. It also provides high-resolution with a maximum of 8½ LSB x2 over the entire input range.
