The AD7542JPZ is a 12-bit Digital-to-Analog converter (DAC) belonging to a data acquisition class of integrated circuit devices. It is a two-channel device which provides relatively high resolution and accuracy, as well as minimal offset and gain error. This device has a wide range of applications in a variety of industrial, medical and consumer products.
The AD7542JPZ includes two high-speed, rail-to-rail output buffers, which can independently source or sink up to 40 mA with ± 0.5-V headroom. The digital input is a two’s complement format and DAC will output a voltage that is proportional to the digital input. This DAC can also be converted to binary-weighted or unary-weighted formats. For a 12-bit resolution, the DAC input code is updated every 26.3 μs, and the output will settle to 1/2 least significant bit (LSB) within 6 μs, with a full-scale range of 0 to 10 V.
