Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) encompass a broad scope of devices used to convert digital information into analog output signals. AD7805BR is a single-channel 10-bit high-performance Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) designed for applications that require precise, linear, wide dynamic range outputs at low cost. This versatile, low-power device improves the reliability and accuracy of analog information transmission by replacing mechanical designs, which include resistors, trim pots, thermistors, strain gauges, and RTDs.

The digital section of the DAC comprises of a serial port interface (SPI/I2C) and the register access. After the analog section has been configured, the digital section receives digital information from the serial port interface and writes to the control registers according to the digital signal. The control registers then sends the set of digital signals to the analog section, which consequently writes the corresponding voltage on the DAC output pin.
