Application Field

The AD8065ART-EBZ evaluation board has a variety of applications. It can be used as a low-noise amplifier for various signal conditioning applications, such as electrocardiogram (ECG) instrumentation monitoring, single-supply audio line drivers, non-inverting ultralow power audio amplifiers, instrumentation strain gauges, biological electrophysiology amplifiers, bridge sensors, and low offset preamplifiers. It can also be used in precision timing applications, such as A/D converters and precision phase-locked loops.

The AD8065ART-EBZ can also provide excellent accuracy and low noise performance in high gain applications, such as optical isolation amplifiers, voltage-to-current converters, analog multiplier circuits, and logarithmic amplifiers. Working Principle

The AD8065ART-EBZ is based on the AD8065 operational amplifier, which is a high speed, wide bandwidth, precision op amp. The AD8065 is a fully differential amplifier and consists of an input stage, a set of current mirrors, and a two-stage amplifier. The input stage is composed of two N channel MOSFETs with source-connected loads and an inverting amplifier. The set of current mirrors consists of four stage-forming transistors, which provide gain and low distortion at higher frequencies. The two-stage amplifier is composed of two columns of differential pairs of N channel MOSFETs connected in a Darlington configuration. This provides wide-bandwidth and high-speed performance.

The AD8065ART-EBZ evaluation board features two precision operational amplifiers, the AD8065 and the AD8176, which are both reference-grade amplifiers with wideband performance. The AD8065ART-EBZ features four modes of operation: single-ended, differential, high gain, and high speed. In single-ended mode, the outputs are symmetrically coupled to the noninverting input, and the outputs can swing between 3.4V and -3.4V. In differential mode, the outputs are unbalanced and the outputs can swing between 7V and -7V. In high gain mode, the gain can be set to a maximum of 120dB. In high speed mode, the slew rate is greater than 7000V/μs and the -3dB bandwidth is greater than 1GHz at a gain of 12
