Working Principle

The AD808-622BRZRL7 interface is based on the “trip and lock principle”, where the upper and lower threshold voltages are compared with the input voltage and the state of the line is determined.

The device has a differential line driver and a receivers pair with a total channel count of eight, so that a variety of signals can be converted into line driver and receiver side signals. When a signal is applied to the input terminal, the transistors switch to a low resistance and pull the output terminal to ground, while the receiver detects the output voltage.
