The ADAU1372BCPZ interface codec is a highly integrated audio CODEC that combines an input interface, a programmable audio processor, and an output interface. This device is designed to offer very high performance, with low power consumption and low noise. It is an ideal solution for automotive infotainment, speakerphone, and multimedia applications.
The ADAU1372BCPZ features the innovative SigmaDSP processor from Analog Devices that allows for low latency and low jitter audio processing. The SigmaDSP provides up to 192-kHz sample rate and 24-bit audio for output and input. The SigmaDSP also offers a wide range of audio processing capabilities, including real-time equalization, dynamic range control, and noise cancellation. The ADAU1372BCPZ has a single-ended Line-In, Line-Out, and an Auxiliary-In interface. This device supports the standard I2S format and can also support the TDM and TDM+ modes. The Line-In and Line-Out can be configured up to 16 channels each and support up to 24-bit word size. The Auxiliary-In supports up to 8 channels and 16-bit word size.
The Line-In, Line-Out, and Auxiliary-In interfaces each have independent power and clock management. This feature allows for isolated power and clock supplies, giving designers the flexibility to reduce EMI and noise. The power-management portion of the design also includes an on-chip low-dropout (LDO) regulator and supports a wide range of input voltages, ranging from 3.3V to 5.5V. This allows the device to be used in a variety of applications.
In addition to the input and output interfaces, the ADAU1372BCPZ also contains a number of programmable audio processing blocks that can be used to customize the audio reproduction.
