ADM206AR Application Field and Working Principle

ADM206AR is a type of Interface-Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers,which mainly works as a full duplex serial data communication line driver or receiver. It is designed to provide transmission of parallel data signals over serial mediums with minimum of one start and one stop bit. This device can be used where high performance, low power and wide temperature range requirements are needed. The device also has a high level of immunity to electrostatic discharges and electrical impulses.

Working Principle

ADM206AR works by accepting the parallel data from a microprocessor or DSP which is then converted into serial data. The device is then able to transmit the data via differential line driver IC and RS-232 levels. The data is then received by the same device where it is reconverted into parallel and sent to the target system.

To ensure that there is no data communication errors while transmitting the data, the device also has various error handling features. These features include a transmitter FIFO which can be used to store the data temporarily if there is an error while transmitting the data. It also has an asynchronous receiver which ensures that no data is lost while receiving the data.
