The ADM207ARZ-REEL is an Interface-Drivers and Receivers, Transceivers, integrated circuit. It is an advanced device for high-speed data transmission over 32 channels between two systems. It is capable of up to 500 Mbps data transfer rate and is designed for applications with requirements for high reliability and low power consumption. The device has an enhanced 16-bit architecture, allowing for twin-lane data transportation. The interface offers low power consumption due to its low-noise framework, while providing the highest error correction rate available.
The set of features contained in the ADM207ARZ-REEL enable it to be dynamically updated; being able to transmit 3 kinds of digital data (2’s complement, float and ASCII). Furthermore, the device can be used in both synchronous and asynchronous modes, thereby allowing it to be used for a variety of applications. Applications include, but are not limited to, telecommunication networks, integrated services digital networks (ISDN) systems, satellite communications, networking protocol tests, and video or voice data applications.
The receiver, AJ7V6441A, offers receivers for all 32 channels, with each channel automatically adjusting its sensitivity. Receiver operation at 25 Mbps or less can use a single-ended receiver such as the HT1217, or a differential receiver such as the AJ7V6441A. At 50 Mbps or more, differential receivers are preferred. These receivers allow for input from ECL,LVDS,CML,LVPECL and other current logic levels.
Regarding the transmitter, the AMM207ARZ-REEL has a high-temperature, thermally-stabilized, low-power complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) based transmitter. It is designed to operate with high-speed differential current input signals derived from a 65-bit counter/registers, wide band digital data converters, and microprocessor output ports. This transmitter offers several features that reduce the power consumption of the device, including on-board temperature monitoring, static thermal protection and low-voltage shutdown.
The device also includes several level-detection circuits, the JPAJ7V6441A, which form the basis for the data reception detection. These circuits integrate analog input and digital output functional blocks for capturing, comparing and processing incoming data signals. Depending on the configuration and the application, these can be set up differently according to different system needs.
The ADM207ARZ-REEL also includes an enhanced control/status register (CRS), which provides an interface for controlling and setting the various aspects of the device’s operation. The CRS allows the user to configure their transmission and reception functions, as well as the parameters that control their operation. Furthermore, the CRS can be used to monitor the device’s state, as well as display the status of its data transfer.
