ADM238LAR Application Field and Working Principle
The ADM238LAR (Low-Voltage Transceiver with Automatic Logic-Level Reversal) is a low-voltage transceiver used in digital interface signals. It operates with a single 5-volt power supply and can be used to translate between voltage levels as needed. The ADM238LAR is designed with a two-channel buffering architecture designed to improve performance, minimize power dissipation, and reduce radiated noise in noisy environments by allowing circuit designers to configure the desired signal voltage level.

Working Principle
The ADM23LAR provides two full-duplex transceivers to boost, reduce, and buffer the voltage levels of interface signals. The transceivers have an adjustable output level feature, capable of outputting between 0.2 and 3.5V. This provides circuits designers with a wide range of flexibility for buffering and voltage level conversion.
Each transceiver has a built-in ultra low-noise 4 mA (maximum) CMOS driver and receiver that provides a high-speed, low-voltage differential signaling environment. The transceivers are designed with a two-channel buffer architecture that reduces the DC noise caused by the parallel connection of multiple transceivers and minimizes the power dissipation of the part.
The ADM238LAR also provides a logic-level reversal (LLR) feature. This feature allows the transceiver to adapt to any incoming logic level and can be used in systems with multiple logic levels. The LLR feature is enabled by a single input bit line, which allows the transceiver to detect the logic level of an incoming signal and automatically adjust the output level accordingly.
Additionally, the ADM238LAR features an output enable (OE) control pin. This pin can be used to control the output buffer for either a high or low impedance output state.
