The ADP165CP-EVALZ evaluation board is designed for the physical characterization and testing of the ADP165CP Linear Voltage Regulator. The Regulator consists of two P-channel power MOSFETs connected in parallel to reduce on-state resistance, two control and error amplifiers, a bandgap voltage reference circuit, and a fault/shutdown comparator. The ADP165CP-EVALZ board also includes a 5V reference voltage, a 3.3V Ultralow Iq LDO regulator, and two digital inputs, both active high.

The ADP165CP-EVALZ evaluation board is an excellent tool for characterizing the ADP165CP Linear Voltage Regulator under real-world conditions. The board is available in the industry standard DIP, SOT, and MSOP package, and it also includes two 0.5 ohm power resistors, a signal transformer, and a capacitor.

When connected to a power source, the ADP165CP-EVALZ evaluation board functions as a voltage regulator. The board is designed to maintain the output voltage at the level required for the ADP165CP Linear Voltage Regulator. The ADP165CP-EVALZ board also features an adjustable current limit and voltage monitoring/fault detection.

The ADP165CP Linear Voltage Regulator also provides protection against high-frequency ringing, thermal overload, and short-circuit protection. The Ultralow Iq LDO regulator provides power to the control circuitry of the ADP165CP-EVALZ board, while the two digital inputs allow the user to adjust the output voltage level. The ADP165CP-EVALZ evaluation board also offers a wide range of adjustable fault levels, such as thermal shutdown, current limit, and under-voltage lockout.
