ADS62P23EVM Working Principle

The ADS62P23EVM utilizes the ADS62P23, a simultaneous-sampling, 16-bit, 1 MSPS data converter. It can simultaneously sample up to 8 single-ended analog inputs, or 4 differential analog inputs, and the sample-and-hold circuits feature very low sample-and-hold feedthrough. The data converter also features a built-in clock generator and analog multiplexer, which are designed to provide an efficient solution for processing multiple analog inputs.

The converter’s digital outputs can be used in system evaluation and debugging via the JTAG interface port. The ADS62P23 provides a total of 24 analog input pins that are divided into four channels, each with 8 inputs. The analog multiplexed outputs are fed into the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) on the board, which is used for time-domain comparison. The signals are then routed to the power and DC calibration circuit, and finally the outputs are connected to the ADC.
