The ADSP-SC573BBCZ-3 offers high precision 24-bit fixed-point or floating-point digital processing. The processor provides a 2-precision mode which allows developers to program and design with either single total precision or split two-precision modes. Single precision mode provides 24-bit arithmetic execution that maximizes performance and efficiency while at the same time reduces power consumption. Two precision mode offers 16-bit arithmetic execution and an 8-bit precision adjustor, which allows developers to select the precision required in order to maximize power efficiency when facing more constrained data application environments.The ADSP-SC573BBCZ-3 also provides a fully programmable micro-acceleration engine called the Vector Processor (VPE), which provides up to 32bit x 32bit multiply and accumulate operations.
