  • Working Principle
The AEDS-9140-E00 encoder works by detecting angular displacement from a rotating shaft using optical sensors. The encoder records the number of revolutions exact to the degree of accuracy needed for the particular task with the use of a scale and optical position sensor.The scale is divided into a certain number of increments, and when the scale rotates, the optical position sensor senses the scale divisions and records them. The data is then saved by the encoder and sent to the controller in order to track the angle of the rotating shaft. The AEDS-9140-E00 encoder is equipped with industrial-grade Hall effect sensors, providing enhanced performance and longevity. These Hall effect sensors detect the magnetic field of a rotating magnet and register this information as an angular displacement of the rotating shaft. This displacement is then used to adjust the speed of the rotary system according to the feedback signal received from the encoder.
