Pushbutton switches are widely used on electrical circuits for various applications. The AML22CBL2BC is a common single-pole pushbutton switch manufactured by Arrow Electronics. The body of the switch is made of durable UL94V-2 rated materials which is resistant to heat, humidity, temperature and dust. The device is designed with a snap-action operation and has two free-moving terminals, a positive contact and negative contact. The primary switch contact is designed to operate in single pole configuration, meaning that the positive and negative contacts are separated. The switch can be configured to operate in both momentary and latching modes, making it applicable for many applications.The AML22CBL2BC can be used in a variety of applications such as commercial appliances, computer power supplies, consumer audio systems, vending machines, and lighting control systems. Its primary use is for control input, such as system control early warning monitoring, manual reset control, power-off control and low frequency alarms. Furthermore, the switch can be easily installed in remote locations due to its suitable size and rugged construction.The AML22CBL2BC works through a metal spindle, or plunger, which is able to move in and out. When the user depresses the switch, the plunger is forced out of the body causing the contacts to separate and complete a circuit, momentarily. By depressing the switch either a momentary or latching action can occur depending on how the switch was wired and the internal configuration of the switch. When a momentary action is desired, the plunger must be held in the engaged position. If a latching action is desired, the plunger must be released for the contacts to close and remain in that position until the plunger is engaged again. When the plunger is released, the contacts separate and then the circuit is broken. The AML22CBL2BC is durable and a reliable choice when it comes to single-pole pushbutton switches. Its versatile design and operation allows it to fit many different applications in various fields. The device is rated for 6A and 125V AC, making it suitable for most low voltage, low to medium current power applications.
