The second is an Over Current Control System (OCCS), which provides current limit control to protect the system from overloads. The third mode is Over Voltage Protection System (OVPS), which provides over voltage protection by detecting both current and voltage.

The APL1-34177-100 also features a High-Voltage Over Current Protection (HVOCP) system which measures the maximum current and voltage in the system, and trips the breaker in case of a sudden fault condition. The HVOCP also offers protection against power surges, voltage drops, and short circuits. Finally, the breaker also has an integrated ground fault detector which monitors the ground potential during all operations, to ensure safety.

The APL1-34177-100 has been tested and certified to meet IEC 60950-1, IEC 61439, UL 60950-1, and other relevant safety standards and regulations. It also has CE marking, and provides high immunity to radio frequency interference and other electromagnetic noise. The breaker is available in three sizes, and is suitable for narrow, and trunk style TD enclosures.
