AS1341-TD_EK_ST is an evaluation board designed for energy efficiency applications which require an isolated flyback topology. It is suitable for both continuous and discontinuous (or Burst Mode) operation. It combines the advantages of an integrated current sense voltage transformer and a single-stage Flyback topology. The AS1341-TD_EK_ST evaluation board is a DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS evaluation board.The AS1341-TD_EK_ST evaluation board is equipped with two half bridge drivers, the AS1341-TD12 for the primary side and the AS1341-TD13 for the secondary side. This allows easy voltage and current adjustment on both sides. The board also includes a keypad and an LCD display to monitor and control the Flyback topology and its parameters. Additionally, an external signal (potentiometer) is connected to the external voltage source, allowing easy voltage tuning.The working principle of the AS1341-TD_EK_ST evaluation board is based on a single-stage Flyback architecture. The primary side is controlled by the AS1341-TD12 driver, while the secondary side is controlled by the AS1341-TD13 driver. The primary side senses the peak current of the primary side power switch using the integrated current sense voltage transformer (CSVT). The CSVT provides a feedback signal to the MCU, which can then control the primary side switch accordingly.The secondary side of the Flyback transformer consists of two windings. The primary winding is connected to an LCD display and a keypad, while the secondary winding is connected to the AS1341-TD13 driver. The AS1341-TD13 driver is also connected to the external voltage source. This allows the user to adjust the output voltage of the Flyback transformer. When the desired output voltage is achieved, the AS1341-TD13 driver switches the output of the Flyback transformer from the external voltage source to the LCD display and keypad.The AS1341-TD_EK_ST evaluation board is designed to operate as an isolated flyback topology and offers excellent energy efficiency performance. The board supports both continuous and discontinuous operation. The integrated current sense voltage transformer is also used to provide a feedback signal to the microcontroller unit (MCU) for controlling the primary side power switch. The applications of the AS1341-TD_EK_ST evaluation board include LED lighting, ac-dc converters, lighting, industrial automation, emergency lighting, inverters, and etc.In conclusion, the AS1341-TD_EK_ST is an excellent evaluation board for energy efficiency applications.
