The AS5161-HSOM is a single-position Linear Hall effect sensor, designed for high precision current sensing applications. The AS5161-HSOM also has an end stop feature which is enabled when the sense voltage is greater than 0.9V. As the movable element moves, so does the magnetic field strength and hence the linear displacement is determined by the Hall Effect. The AS5161-HSOM is designed to operate with a bipolar current, the polarity of which determines the direction of the output. The device also features a low current consumption and low power consumption in standby mode. It also supports an adjustable sensing range and offers high noise immunity.
