The ASBM41F terminal block belongs to a family of industrial-grade electrical connectors, and is specifically designed for mounting onto a standard din rail, making them suitable for a wide variety of applications where secure, reliable connections are required. This model is built with a number of features such as a shrouded header, dust-sealing IP65 rating, easy field wiring and the reliable mating system CLIPSTER®.

The terminal features both a vertical and horizontal PCB connection system, which is perfect for creating a wide range of connections that can easily be adapted or retrofitted in the event of a later system expansion. This makes the ASBM41F terminal block ideal for many industrial applications such as PLC I/O, distributed control systems, motor control, and remote terminal unit applications.

In terms of physical construction, the ASBM41F is a single-pole terminal block with two connection points on a flat base. The base is 25x5.3mm in size and is made of thermoplastic polyamide 6.6, to ensure maximum electrical insulation and mechanical protection.

The ASBM41F terminal block is designed to accept a range of standard miscellaneous sized wire, whilst providing space for label strips to ensure identification of the wires. The header on the terminal block is shrouded to protect it from dirt and dust, which prevents problems such as corrosion, and gives it an IP65 rating for dust and waterproof capability. It is also shock-resistant to prevent any accidental connection accidents.

The mating system used on this terminal block is CLIPSTER®, a reliable, keyed system that ensures fool-proof mating of the terminal block with the header. The header also features a latching system to ensure a secure connection between the two components that can withstand stress from cable pull-outs, vibration and other environmental influences.

The ASBM41F termination block is compatible with two types of connection systems: the vertical (FIT) system and the horizontal (FLEX) system. The vertical (FIT) system of connection can accommodate wires up to 0.75mm2 or AWG #20. The horizontal (FLEX) system of connection provides a secure, reliable connection with a wide range of cross sections up to 16mm2 or AWG #2, whilst also offering a resilient connection for when cables are pulled or vibrated.

In terms of installation, the ASBM41F terminal block is designed for easy installation and connection with a special tool-less screw connection. This means it can be easily fixed into place with just one screwdriver, which makes installation efficient and fast.
