Oscillators: ASCO2-38.400MHZ-L-T3 Application Field and Working Principle
Oscillators are electronic circuits commonly used in timing and frequency control applications. They can be generally divided into two types: LC and RC oscillators and they have many different forms such as sine-wave, triangle-wave, and square-wave, etc. ASCO2-38.400MHZ-L-T3 is an LC oscillator of high performance and reliability which is used for frequency control applications.This type of oscillator has a wide range of application fields such as radio receivers, GPS modules, Bluetooth devices, remote controllers, and wireless communication systems, etc. When the oscillator is applied as the RF local oscillator in the radio receiver, the phase noise of the system and the signal-noise ratio can be significantly improved. ASCO2-38.400MHZ-L-T3 oscillator consists of a high-frequency chip, an oscillator, a ceramic resonator and a power indicator LED. The chip is connected to the crystal resonator through the oscillator. The resonance frequency of the crystal resonator determines the oscillation frequency of the oscillator. When power is applied to the oscillator, the frequency of the oscillator will remain stable. The working principle of ASCO2-38.400MHZ-L-T3 oscillator is quite simple: when power is applied to the oscillator, it will start outputting a sine wave. The oscillator consists of an amplifier and a crystal oscillator working in a positive feedback loop. When power is applied to the oscillator, the amplifier will amplify the output signal of the crystal oscillator and the amplified output will be sent back to the crystal oscillator as input. This feedback loop ensures that the crystal oscillator oscillates at a certain frequency and generates an output signal with constant frequency. The oscillator has a frequency filtering circuit which filters out any noises outside the working frequency range. This ensures that the oscillator outputs an unaltered signal with high accuracy and stability. Moreover, the frequency stability is also ensured by the aging characteristics of the crystal resonator itself, as its resonating frequency remains constant despite its environment changes. The oscillator also has an LED indicator which is used to indicate the working status of the oscillator. When the oscillator is powered, the LED indicator will be lit, indicating that the oscillator is working properly.
