Pin Configurable/Selectable Oscillators offer users a wide variety of oscillator options for meeting their frequency selection needs. The ASEMCLP-LR-T3 is an example of a pin configurable/selectable oscillator and offers a wide range of frequency specifications (in both frequency and temperature) that can meet a variety of application needs. The main component of the ASEMCLP-LR-T3 is a high-frequency crystal resonator; this component provides the oscillations necessary for system stabilization and frequency precision. The two most commonly used resonators are quartz and ceramic materials, with quartz being more accurate and ceramic being cheaper and more tolerant to temperature changes. Within the oscillator, the frequency is determined by the capacitive tuning mechanism. This is adjustable with the help of the external capacitors connected to the device and allows the user to select the desired frequency on the resonator.In addition, the ASEMCLP-LR-T3 utilizes a unique pin configuration technology, which is used to program the oscillator’s output frequency and temperature alignment.
