The AT-42085G transistor is a bipolar junction transistir in the RF (Radio Frequency) category. It is a high performance Low-Noise Transistor which handles up to a 20 Volt supply voltage.
The transistor can be used as an amplifier and is housed in a hermetically sealed metal can which provides reliable performance characteristics over a wide temperature range (up to 150°C). The configuration of this device is a three terminal, NPN silicon planar transistor and the TO-18 package has a diameter of 0.127 inches.
The AT-42085G has high common-mode rejections and an excellent noise figure, making it ideal for Transceiver applications in the 144Mhz to 148Mhz and 420Mhz to 450Mhz range. It is also widely used for amplifying low level signals in other applications such as receivers, as well as for providing gain stages for systems operating in the 800MHz to 870MHz range.
The device works by utilizing a principle of current amplification and is based on the fact that when a small base current is applied to the junction, the electrons passing from the emitter to the collector acquire a increased energy. This increased energy allows these electrons to pass to the collector with greater speed and force than they would have in their normal state. This process is referred to as the avalanche effect and results in a much larger current gain than that possible in a normal transistor.
The AT-42085G has an excellent maximum gain of 17 dB and a typical gain of 15 dB. It also offers a maximum power dissipation of 500 mW and a typical power dissipation of 450 mW. The maximum collector to emitter voltage, VCEO, is 20 V and the collector cutoff current is 25 uA. The maximum gain frequency is 4.7 GHz, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
The AT-42085G has a wide range of applications in transceiver systems, receivers and radio systems operating in the 144Mhz to 148Mhz and 420Mhz to 450Mhz frequency range. It can be used as a amplifier providing gain stages for systems operating in the 800MHz to 870MHz range. The device has an excellent noise figure and high common-mode rejection, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring low level signals. This type of transistor is also ideal for power amplifiers in environments where high temperatures are expected.
The AT-42085G is an ideal choice for designers who need reliable and powerful transistors for their project. With its excellent noise figure and high common-mode rejection, it provides excellent gain and performance for applications requiring low level signals. This makes it perfect for transceiver systems, receivers and radio systems operating in the 144Mhz to 148Mhz and 420Mhz to 450Mhz frequency ranges, as well as providing gain stages for systems operating in the 800MHz to 870MHz range.
