AT-601(40)

Attenuators are components designed to decrease the amplitude of a signal. The AT-601(40) is a Variable Attenuator, specifically designed with the purpose of providing protection circuits to the equipment and apparatuses. This attenuator features low reflection loss, wide bandwidth and good temperature stability, making it suitable for various applications such as Telecom antennas, ADSLs, microwave communications, lab testing and more.

The AT-601(40) is prepared with a signal going into a directional coupler, which divides the signal into two paths. One of those paths goes directly through the attenuator, with the other being connected to a power monitor. The power monitor measures the strength of the signal as it passes through the attenuator, and the result is further processed by a computer. Based on the collected data, the computer can adjust the attenuator accordingly, in order to achieve a desired output.

The AT-601(40) has an operational voltage range of DC -100 to DC +30v and an operational temperature range of -20 to +60°C. It also has a frequency range of DC to 6GHz, a return loss of 10dB and over 30dB of input and output ports. Moreover, it is capable of combining or switching signals in the U frequency band. The power level of the AT-601(40) is adjustable via a special connector, with the digital information displaying module, which shows the attenuator setting and output levels.

The use of AT-601(40) attenuators can be found in multiple applications, most notably to decrease the amplitude of a signal while protecting the equipment and apparatuses from high intensity radiation.
