The AT89C51TR processor core can be operated with up to 10MHz external oscillator, enabling designers to take advantage of the latest AT89C51 microcontroller instructions and features. Two expansion slots are available, capable of supporting various daughter boards and application-specific ICs.

The AT89RFD-01 evaluation board includes an on-board voltage supply, clock generator, and intuitive push buttons and LED indicators for system monitoring and control. The onboard logic-level converter allows the board to easily interface with low voltage I2C-based peripherals. The AT89C51TR processor core can be supplied with an onboard +5V booster converter and +3.3V or +5V external supply.
