In order to start the conversion process, the MOSFET must be turned on and off rapidly in order to control the amount of current being transferred from the input to the output of the converter. This process is known as pulse-width modulation.When the MOSFET is switched on, the current in the inductor increases and part of the energy is stored in the magnetic field of the inductor. When the MOSFET is turned off, the current tries to continue flowing, but the only path available is through the diode. The current from the inductor is now fed into the capacitor, where the rest of the energy is stored. This is then converted to a stable output voltage, which is regulated by a feedback loop in the ATA00AA36-L.The ATA00AA36-L is a flexible and reliable source of power for a variety of applications.
