Common Mode Chokes, also known as CM Chokes, are electronic devices capable of blocking the flow of undesired transient interference signals while allowing desired signals to pass through. They are constructed from inductor coils wound around iron cores, and offer effective protection to cables and circuits carrying analog signals as well as preventing the buildup of electrostatic fields in connected equipment. B82725S2802N21 is a type of common mode choke, designed for use in industrial power supplies, switch mode power supplies (SMPS), and high frequency applications. With its five-layer construction, it offers excellent attenuation of common mode noise and is capable of suppressing frequencies up to 1MHz.

The B82725S2802N21 is designed to reject both common mode and differential mode noise and has good dynamic characteristics. Its construction consists of two windings, two ferrite cores, and a shield. In addition to having a large heat dissipation area, the choke is made with two hollow Ferrite cores designed to have low losses, and a metal foil shield which improves the heat dissipation performance. The combination of these features ensures the choke has excellent thermal characteristics over the entire temperature range from -55°C to +125°C.
