Working Principle

The BCS-123-L-D-TE-017 works on the principle of a polarized header and receptacle. The header features a rectangular base with apertures toallow for insertion of male pins. The header also contains two blocks comprising slotted guide rails that fit in matching guide rails in the receptacle, providing key structural support and alignment. The female socket features apertures for the insertion of female terminals and a locking mechanism which keeps the two components together. The dust shield completes the assembly, preventing dust and debris from entering the connective pathway and degrading contact points.
