BCS-145-L-D-HE-010

BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 is a rectangular connector from the family of Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets. It is characterized by 145-mil square mounting post with a self-aligning flange front mounting, plus positive vibration locks at each corner and long-life contact latches at each contact position. It connects multi-pole ribbon cables to a board, and is available in 26-36 contact positions.

Application Field

BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 is used in a variety of applications, such as telecom equipment, data and consumer electronics, medical, industrial control and automotive. It is suitable for terminating flat or round multiconductor ribbon cables to printed circuit boards. Moreover, its long-life contact latches offer superior strength for frequent mating cycles, thus making it ideal for applications with an increased mating cycle requirement.

Working Principle

BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 is mainly composed of a housing, a signal contact, a wire, a cable clamping part and other components. The signal contact is made of brass and is plated with wear-resistant gold. When the cable is connected with the connector, it is mainly relied on the elastic clamping part of the housing to fix the cable. At the same time, the signal contact is firmly connected to the circuit board by the spring tension. The signal contact is wound around the core of the cable, and the outer layer is connected to the circuit board.

When the BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 connector is plugged in, the signaling contact is firmly pressed against the mating surface of the printed circuit board, and the signal current passes through the signal contact to the printed circuit board. At the same time, the signal contact is firmly connected to the signal surface of the printed circuit board by the spring tension of the signal contact spring barrel, which realizes the reliable electrical connection between the signal contact and the board. The vibration-resistant design of BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 ensures reliable signal transmission and provides good EMC for data communication.

In addition, BCS-145-L-D-HE-010 also has a self-aligning mounting flange design. The flange of the connector is in contact with the mounting surface to ensure the position of the connector during the assembly process, which is conducive to the stability of the connection and reduces the labor intensity of the assembly process. At the same time, the vibration-resistant locking mechanism at each corner also ensures that the connector is firmly fixed to the board.
