BEL1SSL16052CN is a lightweight, single hole type, backshell with cable clamp. It provides mechanical strain relief while providing 360° shielding against EMI/RFI interference.

It is designed to protect cables, connectors and adapter Receptacles from excessive bend radii when used in cable assemblies. It also provides protection from humid atmospheres, extreme temperature changes, and other environmental elements, such as vibration, pressure wash, debris, and dust.

Working Principle

The BEL1SSL16052CN is designed to be used on shielded cables. The internal shield clip secures the shield of the cable to the body of the Backshell. It also provides strain relief and maintains 360° electrical contact between the cable shield and the Backshell.

The BEL1SSL16052CN is equipped with an adjustable cable clamp, which is composed of two halves with a hidden screw between them. Working with the tension spring inside, the clamp provides proper electrical/mechanical/thermal coupling between cable and connector plug or receptacle. This adjustable cable clamp also allows for a wide range of cable sizes.
