Film capacitors, also known as plastic film capacitors, polyethylene naphthalate capacitors or PEN capacitors, are type of capacitors mainly used for high-frequency and low-noise applications. They are made up of polyester, polypropylene, polycarbonate and high-temperature PET and have been widely used in various electronics for the last several decades.
