BK/GDC-1.6A fuses are specially designed for on-board and on-load safety protection of electric circuit in buses and submarines. These devices are designed to protect the electric circuit from over-current and over-voltage and can be used as a reliable emergency fuse. The fuse is applied in one continuous string, forming a closed circuit.

BK/GDC-1.6A fuses employ a three-section fuse link. The first section, called an Absorbing Link, utilizes a shunted ceramic element that stores excess energy and prevents current surges from reaching the more fragile components. Two overload protectors are connected in series to the Absorbing Link. They are designed to open when the current passes over the rated current of the fuse, effectively isolating the Absorbing Link.

The second section, called a Resistor, serves to reduce the voltage of the circuit. The Resistor consists of a resistor element and two control fuses which are interposed between the Absorbing Link and the Resistor. When the power supply level passes the rated voltage level, these fuses will open and the voltage will be automatically reduced.

The third section, called a Coil, is a coil of wire connected to the Resistor and is used to protect the circuit against over-current and over-voltage conditions. When the current or voltage passes over the rated level, the Coil will be activated and will trip, disconnecting the circuit from the power supply. This ensures the circuit’s reliability and extends its life.

BK/GDC-1.6A fuses have a wide operating temperature range and are suitable for use in a variety of conditions. The fuses can be used in a marine environment or in other it a number of industrial applications.

Overall, BK/GDC-1.6A fuses provide an efficient and reliable over-current and over-voltage protection for circuits in buses and submarines. The three-section fuse link offers a reliable and secure system to ensure the safety of the circuits and the longevity of the fuse.
