Application Field
The BM-63-EVB kit is designed for a wide range of applications such as Zigbee certification test, Bluetooth data transmission, 2.4GHz wireless audio transmission, 2.4GHz system designs and some other RF related test and evaluation. With its on-board RF power amplifier , directional antenna and front-panel LED indicators, it can accurately measure and evaluate system performance in a matter of minutes.
The BM-63-EVB is designed to be a versatile kit for a range of applications, with its three different modes: wireless communication, wireless transmission, and Bluetooth communication test. It can also be used for Zigbee certification test, 2.4GHz wireless transmission, and 2.4GHz system designs.The BM-63-EVB also offers the advantage of an additional Microphone/Speaker Interface Module (MIM) for voice signal testing.
Working Principle
The BM-63-EVB uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex A5 ARM processor developed by TI which enables it to work at a clock speed of up to 300MHz. It is fitted with both Bluetooth 4.0 and Zigbee 2.4GHz transceivers to provide users with the ability to communicate with their peripheral devices and to carry out various tests on the wireless channel. The board also includes 8MB of Flash memory and 16KB of SRAM memory.
The BM-63-EVB also includes a wide range of RF and Network Measurement tools. These tools give users the ability to quickly and accurately measure S parameters, receive signal strengths, system transfer functions, EVM, ACPR, and power spectral density. The board also includes an integrated loop antenna, as well as 63 differential test points, allowing users to debug their circuit boards with ease. The board also includes a comprehensive set of software tools for debugging, analyzing, and designing applications.
The BM-63-EVB also has the capability to work in concert with the MIM for voice signal testing. It is also equipped with an on-board RF power amplifier which allows users to measure and evaluate distortion, AM/FM ratios and other parameters. The board includes a GPIO interface, UART and PCM audio interfaces, making it highly compatible with various peripheral devices.
The BM-63-EVB is an ideal solution for engineers who need to measure and evaluate their communication systems in a short period of time. It is highly integrated with RJ45 ports for wired connectivity to additional devices, an I2C port for access to external memory chips, an SPI port for control and data access, as well as a USB port for powering the board. With its high-performance embedded processor and on-board tools, the BM-63-EVB is one of the most capable RF Evaluation and Development Kits & Boards currently available.
