It is designed to work reliably in high vibration environments and is capable of operation in a range of temperatures from -40°C to +85°C for reliable operation in most industrial environments.The BME-500D-800K is designed to measure the angular displacement of a rotating shaft in two-way communication with the encoder. It is composed of four components: an optical disk, a Reader, a Decoder, and an Output Device.The optical disk is the most critical part of the encoder. It is a set of markings cast or impressed into circular disk and contains information about what proportion of rotation the disk has gone through. This information is used by the Reader to determine the angular displacement of a shaft or axle.The Reader is a device that uses a light source and a photodetector to detect the markings on the optical disk. The light source projects a beam of light onto the surface of the disk which is then reflected off of the disk. The photodetector is able to detect the signals of reflected light from the disk and convert this into an electrical signal. This signal is then sent to the Decoder.The Decoder is responsible for converting the electrical signal from the Reader into a digital signal that can be interpreted by the Output Device. The Decoder takes the signal from the Reader, interprets the signal, and then converts it into a digital signal. This signal is then sent to the Output Device.The Output Device is responsible for converting the digital signal into an analog or digital signal. This type of output is often referred to as quadrature and is the most common type of output for an incremental encoder. The Output Device can be any device that can interpret the digital signal such as a counter, a servo motor, or a PLC.The BME-500D-800K is a reliable encoder that can be used in a wide variety of applications ranging from motion control systems to monitoring.
