RFI and EMI - Contacts, Fingerstock and Gaskets
The BMI-C-002 application field and working principles are widely used in the communication industry, including radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). These principles are used in various different contacts, fingerstocks and gaskets to reduce the amount of interference induced by external or internal sources.BMI-C-002 contacts are small parts, typically designed to conduct electricity in circuits. These contacts are usually made from highly conductive and resistant materials, such as silver, copper or gold, and are commonly used in surface mount, through-hole or soldered applications. Although contacts may be exposed or encased in different materials, such as plastic or insulation, they are also widely used for protection against RF and EMI. BMI-C-002 fingerstocks, another component of this application field, are typically made from metal or non-metallic materials. Fingerstocks also differ in size and shape according to the installation it is used for. Fingerstocks can be used to form bridges between contact surfaces, providing a contact path that seals against the contacts and provides an effective shield against RF and EMI. Commonly used materials include silver, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, and Graphite Fiber Filled (GFF) fabrics.Lastly, BMI-C-002 gaskets are utilized to provide a customized boundary between contact surfaces and to ensure a secure contact. These gaskets are made of elastic materials that can be moulded or cut to different specific shapes and sizes. It is also capable of compression or tension into contact surfaces for RFI and EMI prevention and absorption. It contains features that can neutralize electrical signals at the contact junction, effectively minimizing interference. Commonly used materials include silicone, EPDM rubber, neoprene, and urethane. In conclusion, by utilizing the BMI-C-002 application field and working principles, different types of contacts, fingerstocks and gaskets can be used to prevent RF and EMI interference. These components are commonly used in the communication industry, as their reliable performance keeps electrical signals intact in circuits and prevents electronic noise from spreading into other systems. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
