The BRT-100 is an advancement in specialty fuses in the field of electrical engineering.  This type of fuse allows for various configurations, depending on the user’s needs.  BRT-100 fuses are considered fast-acting fuses, and are primarily used in applications where a circuit protection device needs to be reset manually even when the circuit has initially tripped.  In fact, the BRT-100 fuse allows up to a four times faster resettable protection than older-style fuses.

4. Inrush Protection – The BRT-100 fuse is designed to protect circuits from current inrush, which occurs when several circuits undergo the same initial voltage surge.  The BRT-100 fuse will detect the inrush, trip, and provide circuit protection.

5. Voltage Protection - The BRT-100 fuse can also provide circuit protection from high voltage surges, in lieu of using other components such as MOVs or spark gaps.
