BSW-110-24-S-E connectors are modular screw-together mating connectors and form part of a family of rectangular connectors used in control applications. 1.27mm pitch, with locking, polarization features, they can be used in variety of configurations consisting of: Headers, Receptacles, Female sockets.

Application

BSW-110-24-S-E connectors are currently used in a variety of industries, including the automotive, medical device, industrial control, robotics, electrical engineering and instrumentation. The connectors are designed to support a variety of power, signal, and control wiring, including wiring for DC power, analog and digital signals, and sensors.

Features

BSW-110-24-S-E connectors are designed with two pieces; a header and a receptacle. The receptacle has two rows of terminals each with 24-positions. The header receptacle combination also has an internal tension pin mechanism that locks the header and the receptacle together.

The connector is provided with polarization feature which avoids incorrect mating of male and female parts. The connectors are also provided with strengthening ribs for dimensional stability and guidance. The terminals are tin-plated copper alloy and the female sockets are either phosphor bronze or brass. The housing is made of Nylon 6/6 UL 94V-2.

Working Principle

BSW-110-24-S-E connectors work by using a double-locking mechanism which ensures the header and the receptacle is firmly locked together. When the receptacle is inserted into the header, the receptacle contacts the internal tension pin in the header and two locator ribs which slide along the internal slope of the header.

The locator ribs on the receptacle press against the inner walls of the header, and the co-operation of the tension pin and locator ribs provide secure locking of the header and the receptacle. Moreover, the tension pin not only ensures secure locking, but also provides external polarization, where the central axis of the pin is aligned with the keyway on the outer flank of the header and the mating receptacle.
