Working Principle

BSW-113-24-S-S operates on the principle of connecting a male and female contact inside a single connector. Its 24 pins are divided into three rows, with the central row containing 16 pins and the two outer rows each containing four pins. This allows for an increased current carrying capacity with a single connector, while the number of pins also increase the number of electrical connections which can be made. As with the majority of rectangular connectors, it requires the insertion of two flat contact pieces, usually provided separately, within the connector.

The contact pieces themselves are made from a high-temperature resistant material, ensuring a high insulation performance and making sure that the contacts stay secure and reliable, even when exposed to high temperatures. The contact pieces are also resistant to corrosion, so the connector has an extremely long service life.
