BSW-128-04-T-D Application Field and Working Principle:Rectangular Connectors - Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets form one of the most commonly used connectors in industrial electronics. Connectors of this type are compact, easy to install, require few tools and can be used also small and heavy electrical equipment. The BSW-128-04-T-D is an example of such connectors. In particular, it falls in the BSW product series of 8 way header receptacles manufactured by Samtec, Inc.The BSW-128-04-T-D connector is suitable for a wide variety of applications. In particular, it can provide high-speed/high-density interconnect solutions in a variety of electronic systems, including: Automotive, Industrial, Telecommunications, Computing, and Medical applications. This connector offers some of the fewest limits of capacitive and inductive crosstalk, providing reliable performance with consistent signal integrity.The BSW-128-04-T-D features two 20-24 AWG power terminals for peripheral connections, and four 20-24 AWG High-Speed differential pairs for high-speed serial connection, with each pair protected by its own overmolded guard shield. The receptacle version of the connector also includes two signal contacts to assist in the mating of the connector. The connector comes equipped with a secure locking system that provides positive retention when the mating connectors are engaged. This locking mechanism ensures that the power and signals of the connectors are secure and stable in their connections. In addition, the BSW-128-04-T-D features a heat-resistant thermoplastic electrical insulator that can withstand 260 degrees Celsius, providing a high-level of flame retarding performance.
